Join us for Birds Nest Properties Community Paddling Days, starting May 26!

Birds Nest Properties Community Paddling Days are back! Gather your friends and family together for fun on the water—each 45-minute dragon boat session is led by volunteers from Vancouver’s top dragon boat teams, in partnership with Dragon Boat BC.

This year’s Community Paddling Days support diverse local initiatives:

On May 26, explore Coast Salish heritage with Talaysay Tours, along with the Raincoast Conservation Foundation and False Creek Friends.

On July 7, take a lesson in paddling from youth high-performance teams raising funds for the 2024 Club Crew World Championships in Ravenna, Italy .

On August 4, join our all-ages Paddle with Pride on the south shore of False Creek, in partnership with Canada Pride/Vancouver Pride Festival.

And don’t miss out on our Chinatown community activations and family-friendly activities on September 8, in support of the new Dragon Boat BC Chinatown Hub.

Birds Nest Properties Community Paddling Days Details:

Dates: May 26, July 7, August 4, and September 8, 2024

Time(s): Sessions run hourly at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM

Registration: Sign up online to secure your spot at the City of Vancouver’s Recreation Portal (walk-ins welcome, subject to availability)

Fee: Minimum $2 donation per person

Location: Creekside Community Centre, 1 Athletes Way, Vancouver BC
