Jonathan co-founded Birds Nest Properties with a simple conviction: rental property owners in Vancouver deserve better management. With over 20 years in Vancouver real estate, including senior roles at TRG Realty, RE/MAX, and Sutton Realty, he’s seen what works—and what doesn’t—across every neighbourhood in the city.
As Managing Broker, he’s licensed by the BC Financial Services Authority for Rental Property Management. He oversees brokerage compliance, strategic planning, and client support across the portfolio, drawing on his technical background with a Bachelor of Commerce in Urban Land Economics from UBC.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Jonathan is a member of Jericho Tennis Club and Hollyburn Country Club. He remains the person most of our clients call when they want a straight answer about the Greater Vancouver rental market.

Alvin brings a finance-first lens to property management, providing the analytical rigor owners need when treating their rental as a high-yield investment. As President and co-founder, he leads strategic growth, budgeting, tax services, and financial planning for owners across the Lower Mainland.
Before Birds Nest, Alvin served as Associate Portfolio Manager and Chief Compliance Officer at Fulcra Asset Management. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UBC Sauder School of Business, is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and is fully licensed through the BCFSA.
He sits on the Board of Directors for the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival and is an active member of the CFA Society Vancouver, the kind of community involvement that keeps Birds Nest deeply connected to the Vancouver neighbourhoods it serves.
