Birds Nest: Community Power Skating

Over Spring Break, we hosted our Birds Nest Properties x Community Power Skating clinics at Kitsilano Arena.

Each day, we welcomed over 15 minor hockey skaters who had a chance to be led by our coaches, Coach Brian Kang, (BCHL and NCAA DIV III alumni—also our partner, Caela’s spouse), Coach Kathryn Kang (Director of Skating at the Arbutus Club, 2009-2010 JR World Team Member and Skate Canada Senior National Team) and Coach Tyler Barr (BCHL, SPHL and ECHL alumni).

Throughout the session, our skaters worked on crossovers, gaining more power and perfecting their techniques. The skaters left with Birds Nest and Max-Performance Sports.
