Birds Nest Summer Series: TurF
At Birds Nest Properties, we are dedicated to building connections between our tenants and their neighborhoods, and what better way to achieve this than by organizing community events featuring the finest vendors our city has to offer.
We kick off in the vibrant heart of Kitsilano, Vancouver, in collaboration with our friends at TurF. Founded by sisters Deanne and Delaney Schweitzer, TurF has created an exceptional space that promotes a balanced and joyful lifestyle. Boasting a fitness studio, carefully curated boutique, healthy eats, and coffee bar, TurF encompasses the essence of the Kitsilano area and is a must-visit for our tenants.
Situated on West 4th between Arbutus and Maple, TurF’s entrance exudes effortless cool with its sleek, monochrome matte-black facade. Upon entering, patrons are greeted by a welcoming coffee bar to the left, long communal tables in the center, and cozy intimate tables to the right with windows overlooking the fitness studio below. The thoughtfully arranged boutique and studio entrance are tucked away at the back, setting the stage for our Summer Series.
Upon arrival, attendees are enticed by a tempting array of baked goods and boutique items, including athletic wear, skincare products, and home goods, before gathering for an invigorating hour-long Core Session in TurF’s spacious fitness studio. Two-storey ceilings and mirrors along the front wall double the size of the room that is prepped and ready with yoga mats, water bottles, and towels. Tenants and friends stretch and chat before being guided through a workout that at first glance appears less challenging, but has our guests in a thoroughly healthy glow by the end of the session.
It’s all about balance! As a token of appreciation for attending, all participants were treated to a choice of TurF’s top three most popular smoothies: Chocolate Mushroom, Green Power, or Blueberry Glow. Additionally, they received our signature Birds Nest candle and canvas tote bag. We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who attended our first event and hope you had a wonderful time.
