Jonathan founded Birds Nest Properties with a simple conviction: rental property owners in Vancouver deserve better management. With over 20 years in Vancouver real estate, including senior roles at TRG Realty, RE/MAX, and Sutton Realty, he’s seen what works and what doesn’t across every neighbourhood in the city.
As Managing Broker, he’s licensed by the BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) for Rental Property Management, and oversees brokerage compliance, strategic planning, and client support across the portfolio. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Urban Land Economics from UBC.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Jonathan is a member of Jericho Tennis Club and Hollyburn Country Club, and the person most of our clients call when they want a straight answer about the rental market.

Before Birds Nest, Alvin served as Associate Portfolio Manager and Chief Compliance Officer at Fulcra Asset Management. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UBC Sauder School of Business, is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and is fully licensed through the BCFSA.
